Ford’s First Edition model of the Mustang Mach E is now sold out, in just nine days. “Yes, the First Edition is sold out in the US,” a Ford representative confirmed to Roadshow. Don’t despair too much if you want the electric Mustang, you can buy any of the four other options that are all still available — Premium, Select, California Route 1, and GT.
Ford started taking reservations for the zero-emissions SUV right after unveiling in L.A. on November 18, allowing early adopters to pre-order the First Edition model, which is priced at $61,000 including delivery.
Due to battery supply constraints, Ford will only make about 50,000 units of the Mustang Mach-E during the electric SUV’s first year of production. The first vehicles are due to arrive in late 2020 and that will also include the $51,700 Premium version, with the base $44,995 Mach-E Select and ultra-efficient $53,500 Mach-E California Route 1 arriving early 2021 followed by the sporty $60,500 Mach-E GT that same early 2021.
